Colombo, Sri Lanka – 3 September 2024 - The Geopolitical Cartographer took part in a meeting on the occasion of the visit to Sri Lanka by the National Defence College (NDC) of India, hosted by Sri Lanka's National Security Advisor, Hon. Sagala Ratnayaka, at the Presidential Secretariat.The event was attended by members of Sri Lanka’s National Security Advisor’s Office, members of the Tri-Forces, the Defence Advisor of the India in Sri Lanka (High Commission of India, Colombo), Captain M. Anand and the Deputy Defence Advisor, and delegates from the National Defence College (NDC) of India led by Shri Vijay Nehra of the IAS. Colombo, 21 August 2024 – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs - Sri Lanka collaborated with the Geopolitical Cartographer to host an inaugural 'Central Asia Forum' at the Granbell Hotel Colombo. The Forum brought together experts, policymakers, and stakeholders to explore the evolving significance of Central Asia in global geopolitics and economic development. On July 19th, 2024, The Geopolitical Cartographer had the privilege of hosting the Hon. Scott Morrison (ScoMo), 30th Prime Minister of Australia, for an insightful talk on 'Australia and the Indian Ocean' at the Grand Crystal Ballroom of the Taj Samudra Hotel in Colombo.The evening featured a dynamic discussion and Q&A session led by our Co-Patron, Mohamed Nasheed (Anni), former President of the Maldives. The event was attended by senior government officials, including the Chief of Defence Staff, General Shavendra Silva, and the Foreign Secretary Ministry of Foreign Affairs - Sri Lanka, Ms. Aruni Wijewardane. Foreign envoys from various countries, including Chargé d'Affaires of Australian High Commission, Sri Lanka, Ms. Lalita Kapur, H.E. Semih Lütfü Turgut from T.C. Kolombo Büyükelçiliği / Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Colombo, H.E. How the Indian Ocean became political" at General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University.
